GET INVOLVED
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
~ 2 Timothy 3:16-17
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Christian education and growth is a lifelong process and adventure. Everyone from the smallest members to the wisest members of our church have an opportunity to share in learning about God's unending and unconditional love for them.
We offer a wide variety of Christian education programs to suit all needs, including Sunday School for ages 3 to 100+, weekly Bible studies, confirmation and first Holy Communion instruction, special celebrations (such as Reformation, All Saints, and Shrove Tuesday, and Chrismons). The Christian Education Committee oversees all aspects of faith-based learning for children, youth, and adults at Holy Trinity.

STEWARDSHIP
Congregational stewardship stems from an understanding and appreciation for gratitude and generosity. Each of us is blessed by the Holy Spirit with spiritual gifts. Recognizing the gifts God has given us, the Stewardship Committee, with the assistance of our Pastor, seeks to help people identify and use their spiritual gifts to better serve our congregation and community.
The Stewardship Committee develops an annual program aimed at encouraging members to give of their time, talent and treasures. By promoting greater levels of involvement in our church and community in response to God's many blessings, we can all learn to be good stewards in terms of presence, service, witness, and prayers.
How to Get Involved:
-
Take a Spiritual Gifts Assessment – After taking the Assessment, Pastor Sarah will evaluate the results and contact you about your unique gifts from God.
-
Community Activities – Check out our calendar for events where you can help us open our doors to Downtown Irwin such as Trick or Treating, Ladies’ Night, and the Christmas Cookie Tour.
Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others, as good stewards of the varied grace of God.
~1 Peter 4:10
The Lord replied, “Don’t say, ‘I’m too young’ … [and] don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you.”
~Jeremiah 1:7a,8a
YOUTH MINISTRY
We recognize the need to nurture and care for our youth. The Youth Ministry Committee guides and coordinates the scheduling of evening gatherings, special events, service projects and fun outings throughout the year for our middle school and high school students. This committee also oversees fundraising for retreats and gathering opportunities for our youth.
Contact Pastor Sarah for more information or refer to the calendar for current youth events.
FELLOWSHIP
By providing our members with opportunities to share our friendship in Christ, we are also giving each other the chance to learn and grow in our faith. We seek to build a sense of community, family, and fellowship by reaching out to all generations and bringing the church family together in time of fellowship. The Fellowship Committee is responsible for the social health of the congregation and they sponsor a variety of events throughout the year including the congregational picnic, confirmation and graduation receptions, Irwin Light-Up Night, Christmas Sing-Along, funeral meals, and other impromptu gatherings.

WORSHIP & MUSIC
Worship is one extremely important pillar of our life of faith. Through God’s word, Holy Communion, and meaningful prayer, we strive to nurture our members in faith so that they can be well-equipped disciples in the world. Music is also an integral part of each worship service, and we are blessed with an amazing Music Director who, with our choir, elevates the experience.
The Worship & Music Committee, in coordination with the Pastor and Music Director, oversees and supports our worship experience. The committee plans the music, décor, and arrangements, as appropriate for each church season. Additionally, the committee coordinates various worship and music assistance schedules.

PROPERTY
The Bible teaches that the church is an entity of Christ’s followers and we most certainly advocate that worship and prayer can take place anywhere and everywhere! That said, we are blessed with a 150-year-old building in Irwin within which we are able to congregate together on Sundays and throughout the week. With this blessing also comes a significant responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of this facility and property.
The Property Committee has the responsibility of overseeing the normal maintenance of our church building and grounds. This Committee plans and oversees all facility-related projects – ranging from general upkeep to repairs and renovations. All skills (painting, cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, gardening, electrical, etc.) are always valued and appreciated.
How to Get Involved:
-
Home Improvement Skills – Maintenance and repairs cannot always be planned, and many hands make light work! We will communicate needs as they arise and always appreciate helping hands!
-
Gardening – Maintain and beautify the flower beds. Work includes planting, weeding, and watering.
-
Cleaning – Twice a year extensive cleaning of the sanctuary.
-
Painting – Painting areas in need of a fresh coat of paint.
Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God.
~ Acts 20:28a
HTLC FOOD PANTRY
Help local families who are struggling with not having enough food to eat. We collect donations of food and personal care items to be distributed to members of our community up to 6 times each year. Donations can be placed in the bin by the entrance doors to Holy Trinity at any time. Our food pantry is an interfaith organization addressing the needs of people in crisis, hardship and poverty.
WOMEN'S FAITH & FRIENDSHIP

MEN'S GROUP
Our men’s group is open to all men hoping to connect with each other, support each other, and share in faith. We are currently working to grow our men’s group and appreciate any and all ideas to engage with each other.
